Officers from the Crime Investigation Sub-Directorate of Patras have solved a jewelry theft from a residential property in Patras, with the investigation leading to a 14-year-old suspect against whom criminal charges have been filed.

Minor climbs drainpipe and breaks into elderly woman’s home in Patras
According to details from the police investigation, the minor allegedly carried out the theft earlier this week, scaling a drainpipe to reach the balcony of a first-floor apartment owned by an elderly woman. Once inside the property, he stole jewelry valued at approximately €3,000.
The theft was reported to the authorities, and officers from the Crime Investigation Sub-Directorate of Patras launched an immediate investigation. Through thorough investigative work and the analysis of evidence gathered during the preliminary inquiry, detectives were able to identify the minor as the alleged perpetrator.
Criminal charges for theft have been filed against the 14-year-old, and police confirm that his full identity has been verified.
The case file is expected to be submitted to the Public Prosecutor of First Instance of Achaia, in order to follow the legally prescribed procedure.
