Shocking revelations emerge from the father of the 19-year-old Myrto who met a tragic death in Kefalonia. In a devastating interview on “Truths with Zina,” Mr. Charalambos described in detail the events that preceded the tragedy, alleging an organized network and premeditated actions. He maintained that this case is not an isolated incident and believes that an organized exploitation ring may be behind it. He described a dark network with structure and hierarchy, which—as he said—operates even in small communities.
Kefalonia: “I didn’t let my child study because I saw that crime in Athens is very high,” says father of 19-year-old Myrto
Furthermore, he mentioned that his daughter was initially approached in a public space by individuals who allegedly belong to the same circle, and subsequently received threats.
“My child passed the university entrance exams, but I didn’t let her go study. I didn’t let her because I saw that crime in Athens is very high. I heard all these things on the news. Who could imagine that here, on an island in a limited closed space, this organization exists—this organization is the mafia. I’m like a wolf cub compared to what I’m hearing. With cabarets, with strip clubs, with people of questionable gender, with thugs, with a leader, with a deputy leader. The most twisted human mind cannot comprehend this thing. And the way they approached my child and the way they degraded her,” he stated, devastated.
Kefalonia: “They trapped her with a plan” – The online meeting
According to Myrto’s father, an online acquaintance played a pivotal role in the case’s development. As he described, someone contacted his daughter through social media, asking for help with accommodation in Kefalonia.
The communication evolved into a meeting, during which, as he claims, a deception scenario was set up with the goal of involving the 19-year-old in a dangerous situation.
He also spoke of a well-organized plan involving more than one person. He described how his daughter was led to specific individuals through third parties, while reference was made to financial transactions allegedly used as “bait.”
“A month and a half ago, a guy approached her who was in the square. I don’t know how they met, I wasn’t there, and they sat down for coffee. From then began the martyrdom until my child’s death. They had coffee, they met in the square. After five minutes, his friend passes by, who is one of them again, who is a defendant. Because we’re talking about an organized group now, with a leader, with a plan, with a scheme. ‘Sit down, let me buy you a coffee,’ he tells him, and he sits down. After they met, while one approached my daughter who was a goddess, and the other passed by coincidentally.”
Significant questions also arise about the threats the 18-year-old allegedly received before her death.
“When my daughter saw their behavior, their speech, she told them ‘Please get up and leave. Get up and leave.’ The next day, at the same time, they were threatening my child. We’re talking about a group that has no limits. This thing is indescribable. Half the Kefalonians I know have told me, they’ve said ‘Do something, do something so we can be saved,'” emphasized Myrto’s father.
In closing, Mr. Charalambos clarified that his goal is not revenge, but the complete clarification of the case, asking authorities, journalists, and society to treat the matter seriously.
