How the Athens Stock Exchange general index is performing
The Athens Stock Exchange general index stood at 2,525.64 points shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Monday (27/7), marking a gain of 1.32%, with total trading volume reaching €31.54 million. The large-cap index rose by 1.54%, while the mid-cap index gained 1.21%. The banking sector index advanced by 2.23%, reaching 2,910.91 points.
European stock markets also post gains
The same positive momentum was seen across European stock markets. The pan-European STOXX 600 index rose 0.74% to 649.31 points during the same period, shortly after 11:00 a.m. London’s FTSE 100 gained 0.42%, Frankfurt’s DAX climbed 1.35%, France’s CAC 40 advanced 0.70%, Milan’s FTSE MIB rose 0.47%, and Spain’s IBEX 35 posted a gain of 1.18%.
International Brent crude oil prices recorded a decline of approximately 6%, bringing the price per barrel down to $92.
