The Greek Agricultural Insurance Organization (ELGA) has disbursed a total of €13.8 million in compensation to 9,634 insured agricultural producers for damages sustained in 2025. The payouts cover losses to crop production and livestock, and were processed through the Bank of Greece, according to the Organization.
According to an announcement from the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, this latest payment effectively completes — within the first half of the current year — nearly all outstanding compensation owed to producers for 2025.
