The Ministry of Rural Development and Food, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Economy and Finance and the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), completed today (29/6) the payment of de minimis state aid to alfalfa producers affected by the restrictive measures introduced to combat foot-and-mouth disease in sheep and goats. The aid was disbursed to 26,218 eligible producers, with total payments amounting to €29,523,270.25.

The entire process was carried out digitally through the AADE’s myBusinessSupport platform, leveraging data from the 2025 Unified Aid Application, the Farmers and Agricultural Holdings Registry, and the required cross-checks — ensuring fast and reliable disbursement of funds to all eligible beneficiaries.
This targeted intervention supports the income of producers impacted by the livestock feed movement restrictions, helping to sustain their agricultural operations and providing vital support to Greece’s primary sector.
