Within the next week, the payments for June 2026 pensions and OPEKA benefits for May are expected to be made. Specifically, e-EFKA and OPEKA announced the detailed dates when thousands of beneficiaries and pensioners will see the amounts in their bank accounts. It should be noted that the procedures for the deposits have already been set in motion, while the payment flow is of particular interest as it includes both primary and supplementary pensions from e-EFKA as well as the full range of welfare benefits.
e-EFKA: When June 2026 pensions will be paid
The process for paying June pensions will take place in two main phases towards the end of May. The detailed schedule:
Tuesday, May 26, 2026: The start of payments begins. On this day, pensions for non-employees will be paid, namely those insured by the former funds OAEE, OGA and ETAA. At the same time, on the same date, primary and supplementary pensions will be paid for those who submitted retirement applications after January 1, 2017 through EFKA.
Thursday, May 28, 2026: The second phase follows, which concerns employees. The accounts of IKA pensioners, NAT, Public Sector, as well as the remaining integrated funds of EFKA will be credited. Additionally, on the same day, temporary pensions for the Armed Forces, Security Forces and Fire Department will be paid.
OPEKA: When May 2026 benefits will be deposited
Regarding OPEKA, the established procedure is followed whereby benefits are paid on the last working day of the month. Since May 31 falls on a Sunday, the official payment will take place on Friday, May 29, 2026.
It is noted that, as always, the amounts will be available at bank ATMs from the afternoon of the previous day, namely Thursday, May 28, 2026, coinciding with the second wave of EFKA pension payments.
