Oil prices continued their downward trajectory today (14/4), as markets appear to anticipate de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East, following statements by Donald Trump that were interpreted in this direction, and ahead of scheduled talks between Lebanon and Israel.
Around 17:15 Greek time, the price of US crude oil (West Texas Intermediate – WTI) for May delivery fell by 6.20%, settling at $92.94 per barrel. Similarly, North Sea Brent crude for June delivery recorded a decline of 3.77%, reaching $95.61 per barrel, with investors closely monitoring geopolitical developments affecting the energy market.
