Huawei, on the occasion of its participation in the Career Day & Professional Networking event at the University of Patras, had the opportunity to engage with students, graduates and young scientists, presenting career prospects in technology, telecommunications and innovation through the Huawei Graduate Program.
During the event, Tonia Petrovic, Senior Public Relations Manager at Huawei, delivered a presentation about the company, the sectors it operates in, its annual Corporate Social Responsibility program, and the Huawei Graduate Program. At the company’s booth, students were able to discuss the work environment and career prospects with Huawei Human Resources representatives, while personal interviews provided a more targeted discussion around skills, expectations and their next professional steps.
This transition from academic knowledge to professional practice is supported by the Huawei Graduate Program, which targets recent graduates who want to develop in an international organization at the forefront of technology. Through participation in projects that meet real business needs, as well as through training activities, workshops and international experience opportunities, participants develop not only technical skills, but also adaptability, cross-cultural awareness and collaboration skills in a modern work environment.

The Mentoring Program also plays a central role, through which participants are guided by experienced Huawei professionals in their first professional steps. This collaboration helps them understand market requirements and integrate smoothly into the workplace.
“At Huawei we believe that the future of technology is shaped by the people who will be called upon to design, implement and develop it. That’s why, through the company’s Graduate Program, we invest in the new generation of Information and Communication Technology professionals as well as the energy sector, offering a comprehensive framework of education, guidance and development that helps them turn knowledge into practice and build foundations for their professional career,” said Eliza Apostolou, HR Manager at Huawei Greece.
For Huawei, investing in young people is part of a long-term approach to strengthening human capital and supporting innovation. Over the past three years, 23 recent graduates have joined the company through the Graduate Program, while for 2026 Huawei plans to recruit more than 10 new graduates. The company continues to create opportunities in Greece, providing access to knowledge, experience and guidance for those who will contribute to shaping the country’s digital future.
