Specifically, the SYRIZA MP for Thessaloniki A’ constituency spoke for the first time about when she took over the prime minister’s office, as well as addressing rumors about a “relationship” between herself and the former prime minister. “Both things hurt me. Everything was lies. It was difficult to handle because I wasn’t speaking to channels and journalists at that time, I felt like I couldn’t defend myself,” Katerina Notopoulou revealed among other things.

Additionally, she referred to her teenage “obsession,” Michalis Chatzigiannis, and revealed that she cannot listen to new songs but only those she remembers up to 2015 when she developed her hearing problem. She spoke about how her daily life has changed after this “new” reality in her life, characteristically noting that she “learned to exist again from the beginning.”
About the autoimmune disease she revealed: “It was an aggressive autoimmune condition and the hearing loss bordering on deafness was what remained. With autoimmune diseases you learn to live, I had to learn a new way to exist.” Katerina Notopoulou, on “What music do you listen to” with Theologos Iliou, also stated that she faced sexist attacks in her political career. “I realized in a difficult and violent way that sexism is everywhere, that women need to prove we’re not elephants,” she continued.
