The main Israeli organization representing families of hostages in Gaza accuses Hamas of violating the ceasefire agreement, following the announcement that only four bodies of hostages will be returned today.
“The hostage families are shocked and disappointed as they were informed that only four bodies out of the 28 deceased hostages held by Hamas will be returned today,” the Hostage Families Forum stated in its announcement. “This is a clear violation of the agreement by Hamas. We demand that the Israeli government and mediators act immediately to correct this great injustice,” the statement emphasized. Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, announced that the four bodies to be returned are those of Guy Ilouz, Yossi Sharabi, Bipin Joshi and Daniel Perez, clarifying that the process will take place later in the day.
Israel: Intensive discussions for the return of hostage bodies
Ongoing discussions for body returns Israel’s negotiating team and Defense Ministry officials are conducting intensive discussions on how to secure the return of the bodies of deceased hostages in Gaza, according to a report by public broadcaster Kan, which does not cite a source.
President Isaac Herzog wrote in a Hebrew post on X that with the return of 20 living hostages from Gaza today, “we do not forget for a moment the grieving families whose loved ones have not yet returned.” “We will not rest and will not remain silent until we fulfill our sacred moral, Jewish and human obligation – to bring back all our hostages… Until every doubt is resolved and every family finds its peace,” he added.
