The procedure for revoking asylum status has immediately begun for the foreign national who attacked a Metro driver yesterday at “Doukissis Plakentias” station, with the goal of deporting him from the country, following coordinated actions by Migration and Asylum Minister Thanos Plevris and Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis.
According to an announcement from the Transport Ministry, the incident occurred at “Doukissis Plakentias” station, where STASY’s security service and guard personnel called the Greek Police, who proceeded to arrest the perpetrator.
STASY filed a lawsuit, as it had done in the past, since the same man had attacked tourists at “Nomismatokopio” station on August 6, 2025, an incident for which he was convicted and served a prison sentence.
