While the Western world may (want to) extend a helping hand to Ukraine and its President, with Donald Trump being the latest, Volodymyr Zelensky didn’t see it that way in his post on Monday, October 6. Specifically, after the massive attacks last weekend, the Ukrainian President revealed that among the components of the 549 weapons systems that Russia used on Sunday, October 6 alone, there was a staggering number of 102,785 foreign-made parts.
Volodymyr Zelensky even pointed out the countries from which they originate, accusing them of doing nothing to prevent the supply. He claimed that Ukraine has already submitted a ban proposal and commented that Ukraine’s attacks on Russia are carried out with “Ukrainian missiles.”
Zelensky’s serious accusation: Which countries he pointed to
Volodymyr Zelensky, in his accusation, precisely pointed to nine countries whose components were found in Russian weapons systems.
“In the massive strikes of the night of October 5, 2025, Russia used 549 weapons systems containing 102,785 foreign-made components,” Zelensky wrote on social media. Specifically, he mentioned the USA, China, Taiwan, Britain, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea, and the Netherlands.
The Ukrainian President continued in his post, stating that companies from these specific countries provide, among other things, computer systems, microprocessors, sensors, and analog-to-digital converters, enabling the operation of missiles and drones. He appears aggrieved, as after Sunday’s attack, he believes the trade embargo against the Russians isn’t working.
USA and Britain
Volodymyr Zelensky also spoke about components from the USA in Russian missiles and British parts in drones. “Russian ballistic missiles, such as the Iskander and Kinzhal, use technologies imported from the USA,” Zelensky revealed and added: “The drone microcontrollers are manufactured in Switzerland, while the microcomputers for flight control (of these unmanned aerial vehicles) are manufactured in Britain.”
“We have communicated proposals for reducing these supplies. Our partners already have detailed data on which company and product they should target and how to respond,” he claimed.
We remain… Ukraine
While the invader of Ukraine for 3.5 years has increased its aerial attacks at night (as seen from Chernobyl, targeting the power grid to cause electricity outages), Ukrainians use products made in the country to counterattack Russian infrastructure.
This was previously commented on by Zelensky: “It’s important to understand that in recent days Ukraine used exclusively Ukrainian-made products (and) not only unmanned aircraft (drones).” The statement was made during a briefing in Kyiv and was a response to whether Ukraine used its new missile, Flamingo, against Russian targets. Additionally, he commented “Judging from the attacks, I think it’s clear to the world where drones were used and where drones were not used.”
Zelensky, however, said that the suspension of federal services in Washington does not affect the supply of American-made weapons to Ukraine.
