The local community of Kamena Vourla was shocked by a horrific incident of animal abuse, when unknown perpetrators shot a dog outside its home in a residential area. The animal was seriously injured and rushed to a veterinary clinic for emergency care.
The owners found the dog covered in blood and immediately reported the incident to police, while the competent prosecutor was also notified.
Hunting rifle shooting leaves dog with severe injuries
According to witnesses, the shots appear to have come from a hunting rifle. The veterinarian who examined the animal reported that approximately 60-70 pellets were found in its body, many of which cannot be removed, indicating that the attack was deliberate.
The dog continues to receive medical care and treatment, while authorities are investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators.
