The reduction of inflation to 1.8% (from 3.1% in August) is recorded for Greece according to Eurostat data for September. At the same time, inflation recorded a growth rate of 2.2% for the eurozone.
Indeed, Greece recorded the third lowest annual inflation in September, after France which had 1.1% and Cyprus with 0%. Spain with 3%, Germany with 2.4% and the eurozone with 2.2% record the highest increases.
Looking at the main components of overall inflation in the eurozone, services are expected to have the highest annual rate in September (3.2%, compared to 3.1% in August), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (3.0%, compared to 3.2% in August), non-energy industrial goods (0.8%, stable compared to August) and energy (-0.4%, compared to -2.0% in August).
