The American president, Donald Trump, spoke today about his peacemaking abilities during a speech to military leadership, emphasizing that the conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine continue despite his administration’s efforts. In a speech before military commanders at the Quantico military base in Virginia, Trump stressed that leaders Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy need to meet privately to resolve Moscow’s war in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, he emphasized that the ongoing war in Ukraine is the “worst since World War II,” while expressing his belief that there will be a way out of the conflict, characteristically saying: “I think we can make it happen.”
Furthermore, once again, he expressed strong disappointment with the Russian president, arguing that Putin could have ended the war “within a week.”
