“It’s an honor for me. The purpose is always common. Recycling is not just important. It’s a way of life. It’s what you do with your daily actions.” These are the first words of Giannis Antetokounmpo to parapolitika.gr after being declared “Greek Recycling Ambassador” at the landmark event organized by TEHAN “In recycling, we are all one team” at the 1st Environmental Education and Reward-Based Recycling Park (L. Dimokratias 61, Agioi Anargyroi).
“I try to pass on to my children the message of how important recycling is. But not only to my children, but also to many children here in Greece and to young and old alike,” added the internationally renowned basketball player. When asked about the national championship, he emphasized: “It’s in our culture. It’s in our culture to be better. Wherever I have traveled in the world, I have never seen a culture like the Greek one, where you always give 100%.”
