Another case of West Nile virus has been recorded, this time in Ilia, with a 50-year-old man hospitalized in the ICU of the University Hospital of Rio. The new case, which is causing concern in the local community, was recorded in the Makrisia area, in the Municipality of Andritsaina-Krestena.
According to information cited by patrisnews.com, this involves a 50-year-old man who developed encephalitis and required intubation.
It is worth noting that the number of confirmed patients in the region now reaches four since the beginning of summer.
