Greek police completely dismantled two interconnected criminal organizations following a coordinated operation carried out in various locations across Greece, under the supervision of the Western Attica Crime Investigation and Detection Subdivision. These two organizations operated distinct criminal enterprises: one specialized in vehicle theft primarily from areas in Attica, while the second focused on drug trafficking.
Greek police proceeded with a total of 21 arrests, while simultaneously conducting a raid by an operational unit of the Organized Crime Combat Directorate at Malandrinos prison, as this facility houses the headquarters of the first organization! Two inmates at the aforementioned facility are believed to be the leaders who pulled the strings with the help of two sub-leaders.
Meanwhile, in the other criminal organization (it should be noted that the two organizations share several common members), an Albanian national was in charge, having taken over many segments of the “work lines” within the drug trafficking operation. He coordinated the dealers and ensured the “protection” of the drug “stash,” having transformed the dealing point in the Thebes area into a “fortress.” The drugs were distributed throughout Boeotia while maintaining a “client base” that extended to Attica as well.
