While a shocking incident with gunshots had occurred in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner hall at the Washington Hilton, and everyone had been evacuated, led by Donald and Melania Trump, the… shock didn’t affect everyone equally: Some of those present seemed unfazed, continuing their meals normally, taking selfies or grabbing bottles of alcohol from the tables, not letting the… opportunity go to waste.
The selfies and champagne… flew off the tables after the attack at the White House correspondents’ dinner
Footage circulating online after the attack shows people –reportedly journalists or companions– moving between tables, taking bottles of wine and champagne, while others document the moment with their phones, taking selfies inside the reception area.

The guy who continued eating after the correspondents’ dinner attack – “Nothing stops him from finishing his plate”
After the 31-year-old attacker was taken to the police station, correspondents and U.S. government officials left the Hilton and some journalists remained in the hall, covering the story. Among them was a gentleman who appeared to sit alone, enjoying his meal.
In the published video, the man can be seen sitting at the table, surrounded by overturned chairs, scattered glasses and police officers watching over the hall. Looking “lost” left and right, and completely alone, he observes what’s happening while simultaneously nibbling from his plate.
