Fuel Pass: The basic mistakes drivers make
Specifically, the process for granting the Fuel Pass is conducted through the vouchers.gov.gr platform. Application submission is carried out based on the last digit of drivers’ tax identification numbers, as follows:
- Holy Tuesday 7/4/2026: Applications can be submitted by beneficiaries whose tax ID ends in 1, 2, and 3.
- Holy Wednesday 8/4/2026: Applications can be submitted by beneficiaries whose tax ID ends in 4, 5, 6, and 7.
- Holy Thursday 9/4/2026: Applications can be submitted by beneficiaries whose tax ID ends in 8, 9, and 0.
- From Good Friday 10/4/2026: The platform will remain open for all citizens until 30/4/2026.
However, many people who are eligible to apply today are seeing their applications rejected due to the following basic 3 “mistakes” related to their vehicle:
- Vehicle is immobilized: If you have digitally surrendered your license plates, you are not entitled to assistance.
- Vehicle is uninsured: Even if you drive normally, if the insurance has expired, the application is rejected.
- Outstanding road tax debts: Even a small pending amount automatically “blocks” the process
Fuel Pass: Application problems
Although applications are being processed gradually based on the last digit of the tax ID, users continue to face problems with their applications. Many users reported being asked to update their contact information. This resulted in many beneficiaries going to their local Citizen Service Centers. However, if the information is already updated, no further action is needed. Additionally, many report problems when logging in from mobile phones.
