Starting Easter Monday, April 6th, the Fuel Pass platform goes live, as announced by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in his Sunday review. The process covers fuel subsidies for the two-month period of April-May, with amounts ranging from €25 to €60.
Fuel Pass: Where and how to apply
Applications are submitted through the vouchers.gov.gr platform, using Taxisnet codes. There are no restrictions based on the last digit of your tax number, while those unfamiliar with the digital process can be served through citizen service centers (KEP).
Beneficiaries are asked to confirm or update:
- Mobile phone
- IBAN
Then they select the payment method:
- Digital card (with higher subsidy)
- Bank account deposit (with slightly lower amount but free use)
When payments are made
According to the Ministry of Finance, payments are processed within 48 hours of application submission. Those applying from the first day are expected to see the money before the banking holidays.
Who are the beneficiaries
Each individual can declare only one vehicle, which must:
- Be in circulation
- Be insured
- Have no outstanding road tax debts
Subsidy amounts
The assistance varies according to the vehicle and region:
Cars (mainland Greece):
€50 with digital card / €40 to account
Cars (islands):
€60 with digital card / €50 to account
Motorcycles:
From €25 to €35
Income criteria
The criteria are based on the 2024 tax declaration:
Up to €25,000 for single persons
Up to €35,000 for married couples (with €5,000 increase per child)
Up to €39,000 for single-parent families (with corresponding increases)
How long will the platform remain open
The Fuel Pass platform will remain available until April 30, 2026, giving beneficiaries the opportunity to submit their application within the deadline.
