With a satirical cartoon, The Guardian mocks Donald Trump’s new “Peace Council.” In the image published by the British newspaper, American President Donald Trump appears as a slightly distorted cartoon character, sitting in an imposing armchair with his name written on it, surrounded by famous “villains” from cartoons, comics and cinema.
The British media’s message, of course, lies in the people who make up his “Council,” an indirect criticism of those who chose to follow the American president’s initiative.
Darth Vader from Star Wars, Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians, the Joker from Batman, Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs, Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, and Dick Dastardly appear to surround the US president.
In the cartoon, Trump says: “Welcome to the inaugural meeting of the Peace Council.”
