An unspeakable tragedy occurred in Britain, when a 9-year-old girl was found dead in a house in a Somerset neighborhood on Monday (15/12). The minor was found stabbed, and shortly after her discovery, authorities arrested a teenager as a suspect in her murder. For this horrific incident, police and emergency services were notified shortly after six in the evening and were called to an address in Weston-super-Mare in Somerset county. The suspected perpetrator was arrested shortly afterwards outside Worle railway station, near the crime scene.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset police said: “A murder investigation is underway following the death of a nine-year-old girl at an address in Weston-super-Mare.” “We received a call from emergency services to a property on Lime Close, in the Mead Vale area, at 6:09 p.m. yesterday (Monday December 15). The first police officer arrived at the scene at 6:12 p.m. Unfortunately, the girl was pronounced dead at the scene. A teenager was arrested in Worle at 6:19 p.m. He remains in custody, charged with murder.”
Inspector Jen Appleford stated: “We know that the whole of Weston-super-Mare will be shocked and appalled by this horrific news.
“The girl’s family was informed last night about the incident. It is impossible to describe in words the pain and anguish they are feeling right now. We extend our heartfelt condolences to them and will ensure they receive support from specially trained officers. The criminal investigation to clarify the circumstances of the case is already at an advanced stage. The formal identification process has not yet been completed and an autopsy will be conducted,” she said. Finally, she asked the public not to speculate about the circumstances of the girl’s death and the identity of those involved, and requested they respect the family’s grief.
