After news broke that a first-grade teacher filed a police report claiming one of her students touched her inappropriately, a storm of reactions has erupted in the local community of Loutraki over a case that – if nothing else – causes painful concern in public opinion. Everything happened a few days ago in Loutraki when a teacher approached the school principal telling him that one of her students touched her in an inappropriate way. The young first-grade student apparently moved toward the teacher and touched her to show her his work.

For unknown reasons, the teacher considered the child’s action inappropriate and informed the school principal. Despite the principal’s attempts to reassure her, she then went to the local police station where she filed an official complaint against the 6-year-old. As expected, the child’s parents were notified and subsequently filed a related report about the specific teacher with Primary Education of Corinthia.
Shock in Loutraki: What the 6-year-old’s father says
The child’s father spoke to Mega responding as follows:
-Whatever happened, we have written it in our report to Primary Education. We are shocked like everyone else, okay? We too will wait to see how developments unfold.
-Tell me from your perspective, we understand it was a completely innocent touch, but we’re also talking about a 6-year-old child.
-Exactly, no further comment is needed, enough. We responded through proper channels. We didn’t do anything extraordinary. I believe everyone would do the same in our position.
-Did the police call you and tell you this and that happened with the teacher?
-Yes. Exactly. I want things to proceed as calmly as possible. That’s it, for the child. Only that.
-So you’re trying to let time pass calmly and peacefully, for the necessary investigations to take place?
-Exactly that. We don’t need tensions right now and… that.
-What would you say to parents who might experience something similar?
-I would tell parents to speak up. When something unreasonable happens, they should be able to speak up, contact the appropriate authorities and take action to prevent such incidents.
-There’s also testimony from someone who says “I heard her call the child a “future rapist“, which is why she went and filed the complaint.
-I don’t know about that, I don’t know.
-That’s how the teacher allegedly shouted.
-I don’t know.
-How do you comment on that though?
-Is it possible now to deal with such comments?
