Security camera footage is reportedly capturing the movements of the key individuals at the center of the investigation. According to sources, the video material is now in the hands of the Greek Police and documents minute-by-minute the movements that preceded the tragic incident. The footage reportedly shows the 40-year-old man first climbing the steps leading to the residence before entering his home. Just before unlocking the door, he appears to pause briefly and exchange words with individuals outside the property.
A short time later, at approximately 4:55 PM, the man’s partner appears on camera. She is carrying a plastic bag and wearing a backpack. She approaches the entrance, unlocks the door with her keys, and enters the building.

At 5:02 PM, the 41-year-old woman appears on camera. She is dressed entirely in black, with her head covered, wearing dark sunglasses and blue latex gloves — apparently to avoid leaving fingerprints. She carries a backpack and holds a black bag in one hand. The woman climbs the steps and stands outside the door for approximately 20 seconds. Her movements suggest she is trying to listen to what is happening inside the property, and possibly examining the lock. She then rings the doorbell and sets her backpack down in a corner beside the entrance.
In the following frames, an object with a silver blade — resembling a knife — can be seen protruding from the black bag. At 5:02:53 PM, the door opens and the 41-year-old forcefully enters the property. Just seven seconds later, at 5:03 PM, she exits the residence again. She grabs the backpack she had left outside the door and begins rushing down the steps in a panic.
Three seconds later, the 40-year-old man appears in the doorway, wearing only his underwear. He is holding a wooden chair in one hand, while the other appears to be holding an object resembling a knife.
The man shouts in the direction of the 41-year-old woman and hurls the chair toward her as she continues descending the stairs. He then immediately begins running after her, and both disappear from the camera’s field of view.
At 5:03:05 PM, the man’s partner also exits the house. She can be heard repeatedly calling for help and shouting his name. She briefly returns inside, retrieves her keys, and comes back out, continuing to call out.
This particular camera only captures the beginning of the chase. It does not record what happened next in the narrow streets of Ano Syros, up to the moment the 41-year-old woman was fatally wounded. She was found approximately 70 meters from the residence.
The 41-year-old victim suffered a single, fatal blow
According to sources, the cause of death is chest trauma caused by a stabbing instrument. The blow that claimed the 41-year-old’s life was a single strike, but it proved fatal — piercing her lung. The body of the 41-year-old paramedic was transferred to the Forensic Medicine Service of Piraeus. The investigation’s focus extends beyond the forensic examination results to the digital footprints left behind by those involved.
A significant part of the investigation concerns the mobile phones of both the accused couple and the 41-year-old victim, with the possibility that the children’s phones may also be examined.
Forensic laboratories are expected to analyze calls, messages, and all available digital data that could help uncover the events leading up to the fatal encounter.
