Donald Trump announced that Ukraine will be on the agenda of the NATO Summit, leaving open the possibility of a potential breakthrough toward ending the war. The U.S. president stated that a solution to the conflict is “closer than people think,” adding that the issue will be raised during talks taking place this week at the NATO Summit in Turkey. “We’re talking, we’ll see if we can finish” the war, the U.S. president told reporters in the Oval Office, assuring that his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin “feels pressure.”
On Iran, Trump reiterated that the U.S. is not seeking regime change and warned that Tehran “would be better off making a deal.” The U.S. will either reach a deal with Iran or “finish the job,” he added.

“NATO must ensure that Ukraine receives what it needs,” Rutte told reporters.
“As Ukraine continues to defend its sovereignty, NATO Allies and partners must continue to ensure that Kyiv receives what it needs,” he stressed, calling on “all Allies to fully shoulder their responsibilities” in this regard.
