Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stood before the body of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, paying his respects to the late Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic. Pezeshkian was accompanied by members of the government, including Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of Parliament and head of Iran’s negotiating team.

Pezeshkian: Praying before Khamenei’s coffin
Footage broadcast on state television shows the Iranian president praying before the coffin of the former Supreme Leader, on top of which a black turban had been placed.
Khamenei’s body arrived today at a religious complex in Tehran, where it will lie in state for three days before his burial, scheduled for July 9 in his hometown of Mashhad — four months after he was killed in a US-Israeli strike.
