“The Strait of Hormuz will remain under the full supervision and control of Iran.” This was stated by Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, speaking from Baghdad, while warning that any action or interference would delay the reopening of this critical maritime route.

Araghchi: The Strait of Hormuz will remain under Iran’s control for the next 30 days
Speaking in detail, Araghchi stated: “I briefed my counterpart in Iraq on the latest outcomes of the war imposed on Iran, as well as on developments regarding the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States.”
“The Strait of Hormuz will remain under the full supervision and management of Iran during the next 30 days, and once all obstacles are removed, the maritime route will be restored. This is what we are working toward,” the Iranian Foreign Minister added.
“This responsibility rests with the Islamic Republic of Iran. There is no other party or state involved in this matter. This is absolutely clear under the memorandum of understanding, and any interference or unilateral action will worsen the situation and delay the reopening of the Strait,” he emphasized. “The incidents and clashes at Hormuz over the past two nights are proof of this,” he continued, referring to US strikes against Iranian facilities — carried out in response to drone attacks on two commercial vessels near Hormuz since Thursday.
“The Zionists continue their airstrikes against Lebanon”
On the situation in Lebanon, Araghchi said that “unfortunately, the Zionists continue their airstrikes against Lebanon,” adding that the memorandum of understanding had also been accepted by Israel.
Washington “must take responsibility and compel” Israel to halt its attacks on Lebanon in order to bring the war to an end, he said. He also called on Washington to pressure Israel to withdraw from the territories it currently occupies in Lebanon. “This was the first clause of the memorandum of understanding,” he stressed.
