Donald Trump appears to be adopting a firm stance regarding the management of tensions between Israel and Iran, with his pressure for a ceasefire showing some results for now. Speaking to Israeli Channel 12, the American president warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that excessive aggression might leave him isolated. He characteristically stated: “I told Bibi that he needs to be careful,” referring to Israel’s recent military attacks on Iranian targets. Trump also mentioned that he intervened to limit the scope of the attacks, saying that Israel appeared ready to move with full scale toward Iran.
Trump revealed that during a recent call with Netanyahu, he warned him:
“You’d better be very careful about what you do, because you could end up alone against Iran very soon.”

Earlier the same day, with a post on the Truth Social platform, he had publicly called on both sides to immediately stop hostilities. This was not the first time Trump openly criticized Benjamin Netanyahu, who was one of his closest political allies while he was in the White House. Just days earlier, he had revealed that during their phone conversation, he openly asked him if he was “crazy.”

Netanyahu: attacks on Iran stopped “for now” – warns that war has not ended, what he said about talks with Trump
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that his country decided to postpone its military operations against Iran, a move that has attracted international attention. Through a televised address, Netanyahu specifically mentioned that for now Israel intends to stop attacks against Iran, while also sending a clear message: “if Iran launches new attacks against Israel, the response will be dynamic and decisive.” The prime minister emphasized that his country is ready to defend itself, using all available means to protect national security.
In the same speech, Netanyahu explained the background of this tension. As he noted, the decision for military actions followed Iranian attacks that, as he claims, aimed to support Hezbollah. These actions were responses to Israel’s previous strikes against Hezbollah targets in Beirut. Starting from this incident, Netanyahu had ordered Israeli armed forces to strike military and economic targets at various locations within Iran. For now, the clashes in the region have stopped, as, after the attack against the terrorist regime in Tehran, it has stopped attacking us, Netanyahu states. At the same time, he warned that if the regime attempts to strike us again, our response will be strong. He described Iran and Hezbollah as more vulnerable than ever and noted that Israel has temporarily suspended attacks against Iran, emphasizing however that the struggle against them has not yet been completed.

Netanyahu also referred to the conversations he had with Donald Trump, with whom he has been in open communication since the episodes began on Sunday. This situation follows the American president’s call for an end to hostilities between Israel and Iran, which occurred in the early morning hours of Monday, aimed at giving room for diplomatic efforts.
