The White House confirmed that US and Iranian negotiators have reached an agreement for a Memorandum of Understanding that provides for extending the existing ceasefire for 60 days. During this period, both sides are expected to continue talks focusing on Tehran’s nuclear program. Despite the agreement at the negotiator level, US President Donald Trump has not yet given his final approval, leaving the process outcome open.
According to statements from American sources, cited by Axios and confirmed by the White House, Trump wants to carefully examine the agreement’s content before deciding whether to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
