A tanker with Greek interests, flying the Marshall Islands flag, was struck during Monday afternoon hours off the coast of Oman, according to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy, while no injuries were reported among crew members from the incident. Competent authorities are closely monitoring the development of the case.

UKMTO warning
According to a warning from UKMTO (United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations), the tanker, which was sailing approximately 60 nautical miles east of Muscat, reported an external explosion on the port side of the vessel, near the waterline. According to the same information, the strike caused a fuel leak, however there were no injuries or danger to crew members, who are all in good health. The vessel had loaded oil from Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates and continues its voyage normally bound for India.
