What Arab media report about possible US-Iran agreement
Specifically, according to Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath networks, Iran and the US are working on the final version of the agreement text, while announcements may even come within the next few hours. Such an event would be particularly critical, changing the situation that has prevailed since February 28 in the Middle East.
According to the same Arab media, “work is underway to finalize the text of an agreement between Washington and Tehran,” while they also report that “the chief of the Pakistani army may visit Iran tomorrow Thursday (21/5) to announce the final version of the agreement.”
Trump on Iran: Either we finish it or they sign a deal
At the same time, Donald Trump made new statements about Iran, claiming that the country’s military capabilities have been almost neutralized. Speaking to reporters, the American president noted that “their navy is destroyed, their air force is destroyed, almost everything is gone.”
He mentioned that the main question now is whether the United States will “go ahead and finish it” or if Iran will choose to sign an agreement. “We’ll see what happens,” he said characteristically.
“We hit them very hard. We may need to hit them even harder, but maybe not,” he emphasized. “We will not let Iran acquire nuclear weapons. That’s it. It’s very simple. They want so much to make a deal, we’ll see what happens,” he added. Earlier, Trump had stated that he was not in a hurry to reach an agreement.
