Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, will embark on a diplomatic tour including visits to Islamabad, Muscat and Moscow, according to Iranian state media. “The purpose of this visit is to conduct bilateral consultations and discuss current developments in the region, as well as the latest situation in the war imposed by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran,” the state news agency IRNA reported.
Meanwhile, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that there remains room for a “good deal” with Tehran, emphasizing that diplomatic channels remain open.
On a military level, Hegseth noted that American naval forces have already forced dozens of ships to change course from the Strait of Hormuz, as part of operations connected to Iranian activities in the region.
These developments unfold in a particularly fluid geopolitical environment, with de-escalation efforts remaining fragile and the next moves by both sides considered critical for the trajectory of tensions.
