On Monday (7/9), the government’s economic team, led by Kyriakos Pierrakakis, will hold a press conference to elaborate on the announcements made by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), while on Tuesday the Ministry of Environment and Energy, under Stavros Papastauros, will provide further clarification on the measures relating to energy.
TIF measures: The goal is clarity
The government’s objective over the coming period is to explain the new social support measures as thoroughly as possible. A large part of this communications effort around the government’s announcements will be managed by government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis. In the same vein, Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, Minister of State Akis Skertsος, and Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanasis Kontogeorgis are all expected to play an active role in communicating the measures, as will the Secretary of New Democracy’s Parliamentary Group, Konstantinos Kyranakis.
The economic measures will be detailed by Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, along with Deputy Ministers Thanos Petralias and Dimitris Markopoulos, while the interventions aimed at reducing energy costs will be presented by Minister of Environment and Energy Stavros Papastauros and Deputy Minister Nikos Tsafos.
