A 29-year-old man was arrested on Saturday morning (10/10) in Zefyri by Greek police authorities, facing charges of purchasing, possessing, and systematically trafficking significant quantities of illegal drugs.
Zefyri raid: The moment of the bust and the €150,000 drug haul
In audiovisual footage released by the Hellenic Police (ELAS), cameras captured the moment officers from the Drug Enforcement Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Division made a dynamic entry into the suspect’s residence.
During the search, police discovered 7.5 kilograms of heroin and approximately half a kilogram of cocaine. According to police estimates, the expected street value of the seized narcotics exceeds €150,000.
In total, the following items were found and confiscated at the 29-year-old’s home:
- 21 plastic packages containing 7 kilograms and 538 grams of heroin,
- 11 plastic packages containing 186 grams of cocaine, along with a plastic bag holding grey rocky fragments of unknown chemical composition — suitable for cutting heroin — weighing 6.6 kilograms,
- Two precision digital scales,
- Two security cameras,
- One mobile phone, and
- Cash in the amount of €1,200.
The arrested individual was brought before the competent prosecutorial authority.
