SYRIZA sources are pushing back against reports about Socrates Famellos, insisting that his resignation from the leadership of the parliamentary group has been officially recorded in the Greek Parliament. Party sources from Koumoundourou moved to deny claims that Socrates Famellos would remain as president of SYRIZA’s parliamentary group. These claims are also contradicted by the official parliamentary records, where Famellos’ resignation has already been formally announced.

The same sources accused certain circles of attempting to fuel daily narratives about an internal party crisis and the dissolution of SYRIZA, arguing that both the party and its parliamentary group are operating strictly in accordance with established institutional procedures.
