Rena Dorou spoke of a lack of “trust,” according to sources, during her intervention at the Central Committee of SYRIZA, asking Socrates Famellos to prove that he does not have a plan for “self-dissolution” of the party by setting a clear timeline and “roadmap.” As she stated, “the Central Committee and Political Secretariat cannot deliberate based on polls and press reports,” while commenting that “speculation” should not be created that “some say we should go to ELAS because they have positions.” She added that those who say SYRIZA should participate in elections within some unifying scheme “does not mean we will go against or operate competitively with ELAS” and declared herself in favor of a programmatic alliance, instead of speaking in terms of “credentials” toward the person of Al. Tsipras. In closing, Rena Dorou called on the party president to accept, even now, the amendment that was submitted, emphasizing that otherwise “you’re throwing us all to the wolves.”
