As part of his tour in Thrace, the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, conducted a series of visits to key healthcare facilities in the region. Specifically, Mr. Georgiadis visited the recently renovated Health Centers in Avdira, Iasmos, and Sapes.
Additionally, the Minister closely inspected the progress of works at the under-reconstruction Emergency Department (ED) of Xanthi Hospital, while also visiting the corresponding emergency department of Alexandroupolis Hospital.
Adonis Georgiadis on multi-million projects for Thrace health infrastructure
The projects are part of the upgrade network for a total of 35 Health Centers throughout the 4th Health Region of Macedonia-Thrace, with a total budget of 59 million euros.
During his tour, Adonis Georgiadis wanted to send a clear message, categorically denying rumors about the shrinking of the public health system in the region.
“Don’t listen to those who deliberately spread lies against the NHS. We do not intend to close any Health Center or any hospital. On the contrary, our government is investing unprecedented funds for the regeneration of facilities, aiming to create the best NHS of all times,” Mr. Georgiadis emphasized characteristically.
