Sources from the Ministry of National Defense commented on the statements made by Turkish Defense Minister Yasar Guler regarding the Aegean, Eastern Mediterranean, and Cyprus, stating that Greece “does not accept revisionist approaches and arbitrary interpretations that attempt to transform unilateral interpretations into political fait accompli.”
Defense Ministry sources: We do not accept revisionist and arbitrary approaches
Specifically, responding to statements coming from the Turkish side, the same sources stated: “Greece exercises its sovereign rights with full adherence to International Law and does not accept revisionist approaches and arbitrary interpretations that attempt to transform unilateral interpretations into political fait accompli.
In a period of increased international challenges and ongoing sources of instability, statements that reproduce unfounded and legally obsolete positions do not enhance regional security, nor do they serve stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The Greek Armed Forces maintain continuously high levels of operational readiness and deterrent power, consistently defending national sovereignty and national security.”
