Firefighting crews are currently battling a blaze that broke out Sunday evening inside a building within the Goudi Metropolitan Park in Athens. The fire erupted shortly after 8:00 PM, prompting the immediate deployment of significant firefighting resources to the scene in an effort to contain the flames and prevent further spread. An emergency alert was also issued via the 112 emergency notification system.

A total of 28 firefighters are involved in the operation, supported by nine fire engines. A specialized aerial platform vehicle has also been deployed to allow crews to safely and effectively access the building and target the sources of the fire. Firefighting teams continue to work at the scene, battling the flames to prevent the blaze from spreading to neighboring areas.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and there are currently no reports of any injuries. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation, and a further update is expected once a clearer picture emerges from the scene.
