The 64-year-old was immediately transferred to the North Sector Health Center, where doctors followed the standard medical protocol for treating her injury. As the director of the Health Center told Flamis.gr, the incident was also confirmed by a second beachgoer who was with the victim at the time and witnessed the fish firsthand, describing the circumstances of the attack to medical staff. “She was accompanied by another woman who also saw the fish and described the incident to us. We treated the neck wound immediately and administered a tetanus shot and antibiotics,” he stated.
