The shocking act of violence that led to the tragic death of 15-year-old Paris in the Kallithea neighborhood last Wednesday night (June 25) remains at the center of an ongoing police investigation. Although the case has moved into the main judicial inquiry phase, police activity continues unabated, as significant questions remain unanswered regarding a full reconstruction of the events that unfolded in the small square on Kremou Street and along Megalopoleos Street.

Kallithea: Authorities investigating ten more individuals over fatal brawl that killed 15-year-old
So far, seven individuals have been arrested on various charges, including drug possession, participation in a violent brawl, and — in the case of a 17-year-old — homicide. According to sources, at least ten more people are being sought, as evidence and indications point to their involvement in the deadly confrontation.
Based on findings from the preliminary investigation, two groups of youths ended up in a violent clash for reasons that have yet to be fully established. The vague and often contradictory accounts given by those involved — aged between 15 and 20 — suggest a history of isolated altercations between members of the two groups. The football hooligan angle now appears to have been largely ruled out as a motive, a position even acknowledged by officers from the Sub-Directorate for Combating Violence in Sports Venues, who were initially activated after at least one of those involved was reportedly wearing a shirt bearing the colors of a major Athens football club. From the very first round of witness statements, their combined experience indicated that this incident bore little resemblance to football-related violence, despite sharing certain surface-level characteristics with such cases.
The profile of the 15-year-old victim
The profile of the young victim plays an unfortunate but significant role in shaping the broader picture of this case. His identity remained unknown for several hours even after his death at Hippokration Hospital, where he had been rushed in a critical condition covered in blood. The teenager, from the Drosia area, had previously come to the attention of authorities on multiple occasions — he had been arrested twice in recent months for weapons-related offences, having been found in possession of a knife and brass knuckles during two separate random checks. He had also reportedly been named in connection with another brawl, in which he had been injured. Adding to the tragedy, the boy had not been reported missing by any family member until the early morning hours of June 25 — several hours after the incident — and none of the 14 individuals initially detained had disclosed his identity to police. It was ultimately forensic laboratory specialists who solved the mystery by identifying him through his fingerprints.
The evidence
The immediate priority now is the forensic examination of all objects used in or recovered from the wider Kallithea area. Sources close to the investigation who spoke to parapolitika.gr confirmed that at least one knife and one screwdriver were found at the scene, along with a helmet, shoes, and stones that may have been used during the brawl. Forensic specialists carried out two separate sweeps of the surrounding area, as witness statements during questioning pointed to specific locations where objects — including other sharp instruments — had been discarded. The investigation will continue on two parallel tracks: the physical crime scene examination and the forensic analysis of the recovered items, with the aim of determining who used what, and — most critically — identifying the weapon that ultimately cost the 15-year-old his life.
