The 13-year-old student who fell from a balcony at a middle school in Haidari has “won her fight for life.” The teenager is now being treated in the neurosurgery ward and, according to POEDIN president Michalis Giannacos, she is moving her arms and legs, is aware of her surroundings, and is able to communicate, while her tracheotomy has also been closed.

Mr. Giannacos also announced that the minor will be discharged within the coming days and will continue her recovery at a rehabilitation center. “Congratulations to the staff of Agia Sofia Children’s Hospital — they achieved a medical miracle. Life defeated death,” the POEDIN president stated.
