A tragic end has come to the serious injury of a 75-year-old man from Agia Paraskevi, Lesvos, who had been struck by a horse just a few days ago. The unfortunate elderly man passed away at 5:00 in the early hours of the morning at Mytilene Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment, after fighting to hold on to life following the accident.

The timeline of the tragedy in Lesvos
According to a report by ERT, the incident took place on Tuesday morning, when the 75-year-old had gone to a central location to buy coffee. Under circumstances that remain unclear, the elderly man was struck with great force by a horse, resulting in severe injuries.
Immediately following the incident, the unfortunate man was rushed to receive medical care. However, his condition was deemed extremely critical from the very first moment. Despite the superhuman efforts of the medical and nursing staff, the 75-year-old was unable to pull through and succumbed to his injuries just a few days later.
Authorities launch investigation
A preliminary investigation into the exact causes and circumstances surrounding the tragic accident is currently being conducted by the competent police authorities.
