Officers from the DIAS motorcycle police unit arrested a man who had shortly before robbed a gaming and betting shop in Mandra. The incident took place at approximately 8:50 PM on Tuesday (16/6) on Salaminos Street, in the Mandra area. According to reports, the perpetrator entered the premises with his face covered and threatened the store employee with a shock absorber approximately 50 centimeters in length.

Robbery suspect arrested in Aspropyrgos
After grabbing a sum of cash from the register, the suspect fled the scene. Shortly afterward, however, he was located in Aspropyrgos by officers from the DIAS motorcycle unit, who immobilized him and placed him in handcuffs. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The suspect, a Greek national, is expected to be brought before the competent prosecutor today as part of the in flagrante delicto procedure.
