Forensic doctors found more than 14 strikes to the 67-year-old’s face, inflicted with a screwdriver and knife when he was murdered by his son inside their home in Triadi, Thessaloniki, according to thestival.gr. According to the same sources, the 30-year-old allegedly first struck his father with a heavy object, most likely a stool, and then inflicted the multiple wounds with a screwdriver and knife to his face.
Thessaloniki: The 30-year-old’s confession
The 30-year-old, who has already confessed to his crime, was brought before the prosecutor yesterday and was given time to testify tomorrow, Wednesday (27.05). During his confession, he claimed he was under the influence of drugs and couldn’t remember what happened. “He was in the basement watching television. I attacked him with a screwdriver and a knife. I don’t remember why – I had taken drug pills,” he allegedly stated.
It should be noted that the 30-year-old had initially confessed the crime to his sister, who was the one who discovered their dead father in a pool of blood in the basement of the house where he lived with the accused.
