OPEKA has announced the successful completion of the third A21 application round for the Child Benefit for 2026. In total, 601,295 applications were submitted through the online platform during the 2026 application period.

Of those, 497,753 were approved, while 99,523 were rejected for failing to meet the eligibility criteria. An additional 4,019 applications are currently undergoing further review. According to OPEKA data, the approved applications correspond to a total of 856,159 children.
OPEKA notes that it is continuing to process the applications currently under review in order to complete their evaluation. The online platform will reopen for new applications or modifications to existing ones on 31/07/2026 at 08:00.
Beneficiaries are reminded that in order for the child benefit to be granted, the application must be formally submitted and approved. Applications that have only been temporarily saved are considered as not submitted and will not be taken into account.
