Free school trips to the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation
The Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation invites all students to experience art in a whole new way. Through specially tailored educational programs designed for all grade levels, children have the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic works from the Foundation’s permanent Collection, as well as the temporary exhibitions hosted at the Museum.
A visit to the Museum is far more than a simple school outing. It is an opportunity for children to observe, express themselves, ask questions, and build their own personal relationship with art. In this way, the Museum becomes a space that is open and accessible to everyone — a place where contact with works of art can be a truly meaningful experience for every child.
This initiative is part of the Basil & Elise Goulandris Foundation’s ongoing commitment to bringing children and young people closer to art and nurturing a genuine connection with culture from an early age. MOTOR OIL’s support makes a tangible difference to this effort, expanding access to the Foundation’s educational programs for public school students across the country.

Goulandris Foundation: Children’s engagement with art means far more to us than an educational experience
“Children’s engagement with art means far more to us than an educational experience. It is a way for them to understand the world, to develop their powers of observation and creativity, to express their thoughts and emotions, and — above all — to discover that art is a space open to everyone,” said Fleurette Karadontis, President of the Board of Directors of the B&E Goulandris Foundation.
“We want the Museum to be a place where every child feels they belong. That is why offering free admission and free participation in our educational programs for public school students is so important to us. We extend our warmest thanks to MOTOR OIL for their invaluable support, which allows us to turn this vision into reality and open the Museum’s doors even wider to students everywhere.”
