METLEN has announced the launch of the tenth cycle of its paid internship program, “Engineers in Action,” inviting recent engineering graduates to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in real working conditions through a fully paid, one-year program.

METLEN: 10th cycle of “Engineers in Action”
The program is open to engineering graduates with a maximum of two years of professional experience. Additional eligibility requirements include:
- A strong academic background in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or other related disciplines)
- Willingness to relocate to areas across Greece where METLEN operates: Athens, Thessaloniki, Agios Nikolaos Viotias, Corinth, and Volos (METLEN industrial facilities)
- Completed military service, for male applicants
- Excellent command of both Greek and English
As the company notes: Since its inception, the program has attracted young engineers, offering them the opportunity to get an up-close look at METLEN’s modern professional environment, work alongside experienced professionals, and transform their academic knowledge into practical experience and applicable skills. Participants are actively integrated into METLEN’s day-to-day operations across a wide range of activities — from the company’s facilities and projects, including energy projects and related activities, to construction sites.
The program’s success is also reflected in the exceptionally high employment absorption rate among its participants. For many of the young engineers who have taken part, what began as a first professional experience has grown into a long-term career path within METLEN — proving in practice the program’s ability to serve as a meaningful bridge between education and entry into the job market.
At a time when attracting and retaining specialized talent is becoming increasingly critical, the program creates opportunities for young professionals to stay, grow, and build their careers in Greece.
At the same time, METLEN’s international expansion is also reflected in the evolution of the program itself. “Engineers in Action” has now extended beyond Greece, offering equivalent opportunities to young engineers in the United Kingdom and Italy, and gradually taking on a truly international character.
