Vodafone Greece is participating for the 11th consecutive year in Athens Pride, reaffirming its long-standing commitment to equality, respect and inclusion. With the central message “Creating space for what unites us,” the company highlights the values that contribute to building an environment where every person can be themselves, and invites the public to the pride parade on Saturday, June 13th at Syntagma Square.
Having been recognized for the past 3 years as the Top Employer for Greece by the Top Employer’s Institute, Vodafone stands out for ensuring equal opportunities in the workplace. Through policies focused on well-being, development and empowerment of its people, it cultivates a culture of acceptance and mutual respect, while strictly implementing non-discriminatory benefit and compensation policies.
Vodafone has signed the Diversity Charter and ensures that its retail store network operates as a safe service space for LGBTI+ individuals. Additionally, it has eliminated charges for calls from all Vodafone mobile phones to the “Dipla Sou” Support Line, as well as to the LGBTI+ Telephone Service and Support Line “11030”.
At this year’s Athens Pride, Vodafone CU will be present at Syntagma Square with an interactive booth that brings to life the message “We count kisses, not opinions.” With the goal of recording 1,000 kisses, Vodafone CU will support the work of the NGO “Polychromo Scholeio” with a donation worth €1,000, turning each kiss into meaningful support.
All CU subscribers who will be in Athens during Athens Pride will have free unlimited data for 1 day at their disposal, with the option to activate it from Friday, June 12th, so they can share the moment and the message of equality without restrictions. Similarly, Vodafone TV subscribers will be able to watch the special “Proud” feature, which brings together films, series, documentaries, stand-up shows and animations focusing on LGBTI+ community stories.
